We, the Institute for Medical Technology and Intelligent Systems, are looking for a research assistant full time and for a maximum of 4 years. The remuneration is in accordance with TV-L 13.

YOUR TASKS

• Designing efficient machine learning models running on embedded hardware with a focus on fast image and sensor data processing
  
• Developing machine learning methods for robot navigation in dynamic environments focusing on safe motion planning
  
• Designing and implementing prototypical robotic systems
• Systematic experimental evaluation in the context of medical and mobile robotics scenarios
• Presentation of your results at top-tier international conferences and publications in high-ranking journals
  

YOUR PROFILE

• Master degree in computer science or related fields with excellent grades
  

• Very good programming skills, particularly in both C++ and Python
• Hands-on experience with mobile robots and robotics frameworks and particularly ROS
• Excellent knowledge of recent machine learning methods, particularly for computer vision
• Strong research focus and ability to work independently
• Excellent English language and scientific writing skills, German is a big plus
