[Phd Position] Human-Robot Interaction at the University of Lisbon

Dear all,

The Department of Informatics at the Faculty of Sciences - University of Lisbon is opening a PhD position within the project HARIA - Human-Robot Sensorimotor Augmentation.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to carry out a research project involving the development of robust methods for human-robot interaction.

The work will be supervised by Joao Bimbo and Nuno Garcia.

Essential requirements:

- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or a related topic

- A background in one or more of the following: Robotics, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, HRI

- Fluency in English

Desirable:

- Experience in programming (C++, Python)

- Research experience in one of the subject areas

- Track record in scientific writing (articles)

Application Deadline: October 12th 

Starting date: November 2025 (but flexible)
