URGENT:
Inria Sophia Antipolis (National Institute for
Research in Digital Science and Technology) and Amadeus (leading provider of IT solutions for the #Travel Industry) are looking for a #postdoctoral candidate to work on this trendy topic: "Detection of fake identity for
face recognition system". - Suitable start date: 1st of March
2022 - Location: #SophiaAntipolis, France - Contract duration: 12 months
If you or your contacts are
interested, please contact Mourad BOUDIA mourad.boudia [at] amadeus.com and antitza.dantcheva [at] inria.fr More information about the position: Travel industry is one of the areas
that are extensively leveraging the #FaceRecognition technology to improve the passenger experience
and enforce security rules. While the performance of face
recognition has been significantly improved by deep convolutional neural
networks (CNNs), deep learning models are vulnerable to specifically crafted
attacks. Such attacks can entail morphed or edited images, as well as images
generated by various algorithms, which have been created with the malicious
purpose to mislead face recognition systems. Recent related works show that
generated adversarial images of this type impart the ability to be recognized
by a human, and at the same time being misclassified by the deep learning models. A key objective in this project has
to do with developing a secure and trustworthy on-line submission system for
facial images that can detect adversarially tampered facial images. This will
allow for personal upload of facial images using smartphones, which can enhance
speed and processes at airports, thus making travel a smoother experience.
