The ML group at TU Kaiserslautern, Germany is recruiting
a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher.

TU Kaiserslautern is the founding location of the German
National Research Center of Artificial Intelligence and
traditionally one of the most significant AI research
hubs in Germany.

The machine learning group at TU Kaiserslautern (https://ml.cs.uni-kl.de/)
develops innovate deep learning methods for analysis of large
amounts of data. The group has developed effective deep
learning methods and learning theory for anomaly detection
and for integrating the information from multiple sensor
types or learning tasks. The group has successfully applied these
methods in various application domains, including computer vision,
text analysis, computational biology, computer security,
and agriculture.

The candidates are expected to conduct independent
research and at the same time contribute to ongoing projects.
Successful candidates can be given lots of opportunity
to work with and co-advise undergraduate, M.Sc. and (foremost)
Ph.D. students. Currently, the group comprises 15 PhD students,
but only one postdoc. So, your input is very much needed! :=)

Most of the research will be basic research on new
machine learning methods, but there is also the opportunity
to contribute to interesting application projects.

A successful Post-doc applicant should either have a PhD in
computer science and a good track record of research publications
in the ML community or an excellent PhD in theoretical physics
or maths. If you are a physicist or mathematician, we are
confident that we can convert you into a great ML postdoc. ;)

Positions can be given with a mutally agreed contract duration
up to maximally 48 months. Payment will be according to the
competitive German  TVL E-13 payment scheme, depending on the
candidate's  experience and qualifications.
