Hello all,

We (Iñigo Urteaga @ BCAM & Mariana Astiz @ Achucarro) are seeking a motivated PhD candidate to join an interdisciplinary project in investigating how the brain learns to control biological time.

The candidate will develop computational and ML pipelines to reconstruct developmental trajectories of the circadian system in mice and humans, with the goal of improving care for premature infants.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop ML/computational methods to identify regulatory milestones in high-resolution datasets.
Validate predictions through in vivo molecular biology experiments.
- Perform cross-species inference to map human circadian development.

Candidate Profile:

- MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, or Neuroscience.
- Computational/programming background
- High motivation for interdisciplinary research (Biology & Math).

How to Apply:

- Please email your CV, academic record, and motivation letter to marian...@achucarro.org and iurt...@bcamath.org (Subject: PhD_Surname).

Thanks and best regards,

Iñigo Urteaga
