DESCRIPTION

The INIT/AERFAI Summer Seminars on Topics in Machine Learning 2026 is organized by the Institute of New Imaging Technologies (INIT) of the University Jaume I of Castellón, and sponsored by the Spanish
Association of Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis (AERFAI). The focus of this Seminar Series is to study fundamental and advanced methods aimed at discovering new challenges and trends of Machine Learning, from theory to practice. This event is open to graduate students, PhD students, researchers and professionals who are interested in learning or refreshing their knowledge about this exciting field.

The INIT/AERFAI Summer Seminars on Topics in Machine Learning 2026 is a three-day intensive course of seminar/tutorials to be held July 8–10, 2026 at the University Jaume I, in Castelló de la Plana (Spain). Leading experts in their respective areas shall give each tutorial, which may be accompanied with practical examples and/or demos in order for participants to gain a better understanding of the theory.

Fees for the AERFAI/INIT Summer Seminars on Topics in Machine Learning are as follows:
AERFAI members: free
Non-members - Early registration (by June 10, 2026): Full ... 210 Euros / One-day ... 100 Euros
Non-members - Late registration (after June 10, 2026): Full ... 300 Euros / One-day ... 150 Euros

Registration fees cover attendance to all lectures, handling material, coffee breaks, two lunches, and gala dinner. The one-day registration allows access to the lecture(s) of the day chosen, handling material, coffee breaks and one lunch. Information about the process of payment will be announced at the website.

VENUE

The AERFAI/INIT Summer Seminars 2026 will be held at the Higher School of Technology and
Experimental Sciences (room TD1101AA) of the Universitat Jaume I. It is a 20-minute walk from the city center of Castelló de la Plana and 10 minutes from the train station, while Valencia airport is about 50
minutes away by car.
