We have a job opening for a PhD position in robot learning and representation learning for 4 years in the AI department at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Netherlands.
In this position you will be researching new robot learning and representation learning algorithms for application on various robotics problems in the area of manipulation and locomotion. We are specifically interested in developing deep learning methods deployable across robot embodiments and platforms, and which can be used to adapt robot morphologies.

You will be working on the centrally located campus of the VU Amsterdam in Amsterdam Zuid, with a robotics lab on the 10th floor overlooking the Amsterdam area. The position has a salary of € 2.770,00 and maximum € 3.539,00 gross per month in the fourth year, for a full-time employment and comes with attractive fringe benefits such as around 30 holiday days, parental leave, 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% end of year bonus, such that the yearly income effectively adds up to approximately 14 months. The position has secured funding for 4 years.
