15.1-RELEASE-p1 has dirty tag set?

I just upgraded to 15.1-p1. When I log in or if I `uname -a`, the version shows "-dirty" after the version. Is this expected / intentional?

I think it is the custom "label" used when compiling the kernel. I saw it after updating my 14-RELEASE to newest 14.4-RELEASE-p7 and spotted same thing too. After googling for a while, just a bad naming I guess , I thought i did something wrong while updating.
