Hello,

I've a very old slide positive (a framed picture of 24x36mm). A local
drugstore scanned the picture and returned me disk, a CD or DVD. But I
can't mount it as cd9660 file system. The only thing I can do is:

# grep cd0 /var/log/message
Nov 13 12:01:35 e6330-r314251 kernel: cd0 at ahcich1 bus 0 scbus1 target 0 lun 0
Nov 13 12:01:35 e6330-r314251 kernel: cd0: <PLDS DVD+-RW DU-8A5HH SD11> Removable CD-ROM SCSI device
Nov 13 12:01:35 e6330-r314251 kernel: cd0: Serial Number TTYK05508134O47P3A01
Nov 13 12:01:35 e6330-r314251 kernel: cd0: 150.000MB/s transfers (SATA 1.x, UDMA5, ATAPI 12bytes, PIO 8192bytes)
Nov 13 12:01:35 e6330-r314251 kernel: cd0: 13MB (7086 2048 byte sectors)

# cat /dev/cd0 > cd0
# ls -l cd0
-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 14512128 13 nov. 11:18 cd0

# file cd0
cd0: data

# strings cd0 | more

What can I do to get the picture on my X11 screen and/or convert it to JPEG
or TIFF?

Thanks

matthias

Please ignore my message,

# mount_udf /dev/cd0 /mnt

did the trick.

yes iso9660+udf hybrid is standard now, when mounting iso files are there but look strange, all look fine when mounting udf.

just out of curiosity did the mount_cd9660 return okay but files were messes up or did not mount at all? only mount_udf worked while mount_cd9660 failed?

im wondering if you got udf with no iso?

what type of disk? cd/dvd/bd-r/w/ram?
