To enlarge the font on the top bar, hold the shutter half-way.

Tip: shutter and ISO are color-colored (it shows "good" values for the
180 degree rule and low noise).
For the others, color acts as a separator between the strings (when
numbers become large, there's no space between them).
You can access all intermediate ISO values from Canon's UI, just by
turning the wheel!
Works only in LiveView, when ML bottom bar is active. Code is enabled
on 550D and 600D, but it was tested only on the first one. 60D doesn't
need it.
When reporting bugs, please mention your camera. This autoexec works
with 3 cameras.
I have the 8th of july release on the 600D. how do I instal this? can I just replace the bin file?

On a side note, what's the general consensus on the stability etc of the 600D build?
Or to put it more delicately, would you put it on your girlfriend's camera... ;-)
Morgan.
Also fixed shutter display for large values (in photo mode), with the
formula from the wiki, but it increased the memory usage somewhat (due
to floating point routines). I'll optimize it if you notice any
stability problems caused by this.
If anyone is good at math: how to compute f(x) = 2^(x/8) with integer
arithmetic?
Also fixed AE_VALUE (hopefully). If it still doesn't work, you will
have to find a property or memory address for it.
Bootflags from the debug menu are OK.

Shutter should work OK in Av mode (where I noticed the bug) and maybe
all other auto modes.

Can you show me a video with the flicker?

This is a known bug.
Here's the current bleeding edge, with a few experimental things
(developed on 60D, not really tested on 550D):
- 422 preview (hold SET and turn the wheel to the right in play mode)
- live defish preview for samyang 8mm
- slit-scan works on 60d (this also fixed focus peak / magic zoom
intermittent issues)
- kelvin shortcut should work on 600d (not tested)
- auto exposure (shutter & iso) for timelapse (experimental; should go
smoothly from sunlight i.e. ISO 100 1/4000, to moonlight i.e. ISO 6400
30s). I wanted to shoot a timelapse of a cactus flower and bumped into
the limitations of Canon's exposure meter (it only went to ISO 200 at
4 seconds in Av mode on 60D in almost complete darkness).
For developers: after FIO_FindFirst/FindNext you have to call a
function which does some cleanup (close the directory handle maybe).
Otherwise, too many findfirst/findnext calls would result in error
(card can't be accessed). See latest changesets for details.
Reminder (I bumped again into it): you can't do any file I/O from
my_init_task (and this includes INIT_FUNCs). Otherwise, camera won't
shutdown. Fortunately, when this happens, the card LED will remain on.
> Side Note: I've tried to take a screenshot of the preview to see if it works but i get only a white bmp, (that's not an issue but maybe is good to know it)
422 image is displayed on YUV overlay, so it won't be visible in the
BMP screenshot. But you should find a 422 "companion" file.
For command-line defishing, download the attached pto files, install
hugin, then type:
nona -o defished.jpg recti.pto original.jpg
nona -o defished.jpg panini.pto original.jpg
First one uses rectilinear projection (like a normal wide lens),
second uses Panini projection (it only straightens vertical lines and
it's even wider).
Here's a picture I took with the Samyang (defished with panini):
/home/alex/Dropbox/Public/IMG_1584r.jpg
I usually tweak yaw, pitch and roll before defishing (but not from
command line).
Here's an old wiki page on this subject:
http://magiclantern.wikia.com/wiki/Fisheye_Support
BTW, "anti-fisheye" results in a very interesting tutorial for defishing:

With low intervals, there is some screen flicker. ML goes to Play mode
to save even more power (I believe this stops the sensor), but the
process of switching modes will wake up the display.
Don't forget to copy the fonts file.

Camera needs to be on AF to be able to move the focus ring. But ML
can't tell it to stop auto-focusing.
How can you reproduce the stability issues you posted on the wiki? Are
there any particular settings that trigger them? On 550D and 60D I
can't crash ML any more...

Try focus peaking with this one.

Any good use for the beep? I was just playing with wav functions.
For 3x I need a silent pic taken in that mode. 720p probably needs a
different offset (no idea how much, maybe a screenshot would help).
Also send me one from 720p too.
