If one does not take risk, one does not move ahead… successful people take risks and use whatever little they have to advance or grow.
If we still want to do this I suggest.
- We draw a MOU or some sort of code of conduct to cover all regulations and procedures for remittance, withdrawal, lending, supporting etc….
- We register the fund – Mkungu social fund
- We enlist someone well verse in the law regarding the management of social funds, taxes etc…
- We enlist those that want to.
Let em give you an example. I am in a group with people that I went to the national service with. For 2 years we were meeting , drinking and partying. Last year we decided to put our energy to something more useful
We drew a constitution. We register. We did our 1st AGM, and we now have elected members and chairperson etc…. all in one year. We hope to give 10 thousand a month. And we also have set a small amount to assist families in difficult situations. We help eachother with medical covers, with funerals, with covering of uncovered situation by the likes of AAR or strategis.. we help eachother but the main aim is to invest and so we can grow as a group in turn help eachother individually… we are different, we have different level of income. If we had started then, we would be arguing whether to buy shares in Vodacom or build a small building for rental. Or who knows, to start our own microfinance group…. Small steps is what matters, the issue is start…
