Psychodrama is a creative way of exploring the worlds of individuals, families, and organisations. Psychodrama uses action methods and spontaneous drama. It is an experiential group work method using dramatic enactment to explore themes, events, and stories in our lives. It is an enlivening framework in which the use of the imagination is central.

Psychodrama is based on principles developed by Dr J. L. Moreno (1889-1974). Psychodrama has been the basis of many theories and practices of group work since 1923. It has applications in a variety of settings.

Counsellors, Psychologists, Business Trainers, Educators, Theatre Directors, and Facilitators who work with groups of people in NGOs and other settings, might find Psychodrama especially useful.

The fee for this 3-day Workshop is Rs 5,000.

About this workshop:

"The Divine Spark": An Introductory Workshop in Psychodrama and Active Group Techniques, by Dr. Jorge Burmeister

This Workshop will explain the humanistic and anthropological model of Psychodrama and its interpersonal theory of human evolution: including the spontaneity / creativity cycle, the value of action, and the importance of imagination and cooperation for human development.

The Workshop will demonstrate the basic techniques of Psychodrama and related interpersonal tools and assessments. It will feature a variety of empowerment techniques to train how to stimulate confidence and social support in groups. Furthermore it will provide practical examples of processes that can be used to develop future planning and change processes.
