Google Groups is going to phase out a couple of the features that made
it so attractive as an alternative to Mailman. We will be able to
transition and still use the mailing groups... However, I will need
time (or someone else to volunteer to step in for me as evaluator) to
evaluate our alternatives. We have 3 months to make this change.
Chris Krueger has checked out as webmaster. He judged that the
community did not have sufficient need for his services at this time.
I judge that I did not provide enough work for him to do. The
Transition AND my lack of availability have brought Communications
improvement efforts to almost a complete stop.
I plan to attend Wed's meeting to discuss the transition. I will be
coming from a 5:30 appt in Boulder so I may be late. This is an event
I have to attend and not something I could reschedule.
