Today, February 11 @12:00-1:30pm - Reception with the art exhibit "Honoring the Children of Palestine", the film "Flying Paper" and a complimentary lunch, is being sponsored by the SCC Board President Otto Lee and the Palestinian Heritage Committee.
The art exhibit welcomes visitors for the full month of February and includes symbolic Palestinian themes, including references to a 2011 event in Gaza where more than 15,000 children flew kites on the beach, setting and subsequently breaking the Guinness World Record for the number of kites flown simultaneously with over 12,000 kits, and a list of the first 2780 names of the children lost in Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023. The exhibit is available for viewing Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM throughout the month of February on the First Floor of the County Government Center outside of the Isaac Newton Center Auditorium, 70 W. Hedding St., San José, CA 95110.
