Dear Friends,

The latest vote count confirms that we amassed more than 10,000 votes in District 10. This is a major achievement. 10,000 voters saw six names on the ballot and chose us because they believed that we had the most compelling vision for the future of the Bay Area and California.

Unfortunately, we were unable to make the runoff. One of the campaigns in this race had ten times our campaign budget. Another campaign had thirteen times our campaign budget. And this gap widened with the voluminous spending from independent expenditure committees (also known as PACs) to influence the outcome of this race. The gap ultimately proved insurmountable.

Nevertheless, I am proud of what we were able to accomplish with the limited grassroots resources we had. The math indicates that our cost per vote was significantly lower than that of the two campaigns that made the runoff, which means we ran our campaign in a way that was highly resourceful and efficient.

I am deeply appreciative to everyone who helped with the campaign, and I look forward to staying in touch and helping you as best as I can with your various endeavors.

We are holding a thank you party on Saturday, June 25th at 1pm, and you and your family are all invited.

We will have delicious food. No agenda, just hanging out and having a good time. We will also have the pool cleaned and ready for anyone who would like to swim.
