California State Senate District 10 has about one million residents and about half a million voters, which includes parts of Silicon Valley and the southern coastal East Bay that include the following 2 Counties and 11 Cities: 


County: Santa Clara County (17.4%):

Cities:  Milpitas, San Jose (13.2%), Santa Clara 


County: Alameda County (40.7%):

Cities: Ashland, Castro Valley, Cherryland, Fairview, Fremont, Hayward, Newark, San Leandro (8.9%), San Lorenzo, Union City 


The Primary Election in California State-wide is on June 7, 2022, and the final Mid-term US-Election nationwide is on November 8, 2022.

Jamal Khan completed his K-12 education in public schools right here in the Bay Area. After graduating as a high school valedictorian, Jamal attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he triple-majored in Economics, Political Science, and Rhetoric, and minored in Global Poverty and Practice. Khan maintained honors standing eight out of eight semesters and was awarded the Travis Scholarship in Politics and Ethics. He graduated with High Honors in Economics and High Distinction in General Scholarship.

Jamal Khan attended Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was President of the Muslim Law Students Association and Communications Chair of the South Asian Law Students Association. He also served as the Managing Technical Editor of the Harvard Human Rights Journal.

As an undergraduate, Jamal Khan interned for Speaker Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco district office, the nonprofit transparency organization MapLight, and a bankruptcy attorney. During the summer breaks in law school, he interned in Washington, DC for the US Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, and the Office of Government Ethics.

After graduating from law school, Jamal Khan was accepted into the Presidential Management Fellowship (PMF) program. He worked for the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, the White House Council on Environmental Quality, and the Food and Nutrition Service. Jamal worked on several policy priorities of the Obama Administration at the state level, including minimum wage, paid sick and family leave, voting rights, gun violence prevention, occupational licensing, and the opioid crisis.

Jamal Khan was an Access Control Volunteer at the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. He worked for the Kamala Harris for Senate campaign in its Los Angeles headquarters, and then accepted a position as the deputy digital director for the Catherine Cortez Masto for Senate campaign in its headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada. Khan moved back to the Bay Area and worked for SCN Strategies (now known as Bearstar Strategies), a political consultancy. Khan served as the finance and data director for San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo's re-election campaign.

California State Senate District 10 has about one million residents and more than half a million registered voters, which includes 13 cities of 2 counties (Santa Clara county as part of Silicon Valley and Alameda County in East Bay). This District includes the cities of Fremont, Hayward, Santa Clara, Milpitas, Union City, Castro Valley, Newark, San Lorenzo, Ashland, Cherryland, and Fairview. Also includes North San Jose and part of San Leandro.

Our community youth Jamal Khan, a UC-Berkeley, and Harvard Law graduatean Attorney, a Politician, and a Writer, has ventured into running for California State Senate, District 10. The election is on June 7, 2022. This is a very big race with over one million residents and over half a million registered voters in 10 different cities of 2 counties, as part of Silicon Valley. To reach out to the voters is a big challenge, because just to send a post card to half a million voters it costs quarter million dollars. Our community youth Jamal Khana UC-Berkeley, and Harvard Law graduatean Attorney, a Politician, and a Writer, is running for California State Senate, District 10. This is a big race and here are some particulars:
