Dear Friends,
The 250-word candidate statement will appear in the voter guide, which will be mailed to every voter household in the district. I have prepared a draft of the candidate statement. The word limit has forced me to be concise. The draft is currently 252 words. I would greatly appreciate any feedback you might have:

Call me. Seriously, put down this booklet and call or text my personal cell:

www.votekhan.comI grew up right here in our district. Local public K-12 schools. Saw the dot-com bust: For Lease signs peppered everywhere as layoffs hit friends and family. Attended Berkeley, graduated amidst the financial crisis. Attended Harvard Law School as Occupy Wall Street lit, then fizzled. Worked for the Obama White House as Trump and Bernie drew massive crowds. Wrote five books about pressing topics like the opioid crisis, data privacy, and tech monopolies as COVID hit.
What am I about? Fighting to lift our middle class until it's once again an inspiration for the world. Here's how: A fair workweek with predictable schedules for employees. Paid family leave to take care of your elderly relative or newborn while keeping the lights on. Restrictions on greedy companies that outbid you on a house with an all-cash payment and then rent it out, making homeownership hopeless. Suspending the gas tax until gas prices fall below a predetermined threshold. Universal healthcare, and if not, at least a public option. Boosting public safety to keep your family safe. Fiscal discipline, accountability, and transparency. See much more on my website:

Bread and butter stuff. No nonsense about taking Lincoln's name off a school.
My energy will go into fighting ferociously for working families. I'm accessible to voters, not lobbyists.
