Dear Bangladeshi Friends,
Assalaamu ‘Alaikum and Ramadan Mubarak
Month of Ramadan is very special for the whole Muslim world. This is a month of Barakah, the month of forgiveness, the month of purification, and a chance of showering with Allah's blessing and a great opportunity to free us from our past sins. Any good deed, donation, helping the poor and needy people will be considered as a Sadaqah and the reward is much higher than normal time. It multiplies 10 to 70 times or more in this holy month of Ramadan.
BUFLA has been doing Charity work for a long time. We did the Charity work for the Haiti Earth quake tragedy people, we extended our helping hands for the hurricane Ayla affected people in Bangladesh, and also, for the last two years we have been helping the Bangladeshi under-privileged people by distributing blankets during the severely cold winter season.
Now we are trying to help the Savar Tragedy Victims of the building collapse. As we all know, in this Savar tragedy, more than eleven hundred people were killed, over 2500 were rescued alive among them. Most of the rescued people are handicap and now out of jobs. We randomly picked six victims and their families from over 3600 affected people in this tragedy. The information about those 6 victims are described in the attached Flyer in this e-mail. Please review it.
We did some fundraising of a few thousand dollars. We personally reminded all of you to please pay your pledged amount to us (Dr. M. A. Hashem, 213-200-0984) by this Sunday, July 28, 2013.
If any of you, who have not pledged yet, would like to participate in this very tragic humanitarian cause, then please contact us immediately at (Dr. M. A. Hashem, 213-200-0984, hashe...@yahoo.com). Our cutoff date for this charity project is this Sunday, July 28, 2013. So, please call us or e-mail us before this Sunday, July 28, 2013. After July 28, whatever the amount of collection we will have, we will disperse the money to the specific six victims before the end of this month Insha Allah. Zakat money can also be donated for this tragic humanitarian cause.
