Dear Friends,

Salaam and Greetings to everyone.

Just sharing with you our Halaqa Agenda program of May 3, 2014 below, just in case anyone is curious and interested to know and learn about the Halaqa program format. Halaqa is a monthly gathering of about 10 to 20 families at the residences of the participating families to discuss and learn about the Beliefs and teachings of Islam. This includes Islamic lessons. discussion and education for Kids, Youths and Adults, including Qur'anic verses, Hadith and related topics. This also includes socialization time and dinner served by the host family on a monthly rotating basis in the group throughout the year. Halaqa group becomes like an extended family of learning group and socializing group. Then the occasional Joint Halaqa program at a Masjid or at a bigger place can connect the various Halaqa groups occasionally. Me and my family have been participating in these Halaqa programs for over 30 years now, and we have found the Halaqa programs to be a good part and an important part of our lives, Al-hamdu-lillah. It also appears to be a good activity for community building in a number of good ways. I will be glad to answer any questions that any of you may have.

Thanks and Regards,
