Joint Halaqa (April 5, 2014)

Dear Friends,

As-Salaamu 'Alaikum.

Al-hamdu-lillah, by the mercy of Allah (swa), the Joint Halaqa program of the Silicon Valley Bay Area of California was held on April 5, 2014 at the SBIA Headquarter in San Jose, CA, USA. The program was very successful. The presentations by our kids, youths and adults on several important topics went very very well. All the presentations were very educational for all the attendees. The Sacramento Halaqa group drove about one hundred miles to attend this Joint Halaqa program, and Allah (swa) will reward them immensely for it insha Allah. It was also a great occasion for everyone to socialize, exchange greetings and to eat delicious dinner together in the big-and-beautiful Masjid environment, newly purchased by SBIA as the SBIA Headquarter.

Some of the presentations at this Joint Halaqa program were made by our kids and youths using the Power Point slides, and those presentations are attached here for your convenient review. Please say du'a for our kids and youths who worked very hard to prepare and deliver these presentations at the Joint Halaqa program.

We plan to hold this joint Halaqa program on an Annual or Biennial basis. Please pray for our continued success in this endeavor.

The Joint Halaqa program of the Silicon Valley greater San Francisco Bay Area will be held, insha Allah, as per the following:

 
Date:    April 5, 2014, Saturday
Time:   3:30 PM to 9 PM
Venue:  SBIA Bigger Center, 2345 Harris Way, San Jose, CA 95131, USA (Near I-880 X Montague). This venue is a 2-storied 70,000 Sq-Ft building that the South Bay Islamic Association (SBIA) recently purchased at a price of 5 Million dollars.

5:45 PM:               Asr Prayer

6:00 PM:               Presentations by Halaqa Groups

7:35 PM:               Magrib prayer
