Huron High
School will not be
offering "all-school” physicals this spring for student athletes.
You need to make other arrangements for your sports physical.
2.
Wednesdays and Fridays in May ~ Don’t forget to wear your favorite hat on
Wednesdays and flip-flops on Fridays in May. You must donate $1 or more each time
you participate. All proceeds will be donated
to the Tanny Vonthron Memorial Scholarship Fund at the end of the school year.
3.
Students may not charge lunches
or extras in the cafeteria for the remainder of the school year.
4.
This Week ~ Tickets for the End of the Year dance will be
sold Tuesday through Friday of this week during both lunches. Tickets
are $5. In order to purchase a ticket, you must turn in your green dance
permission form. See Mrs. Rowen if you need a new form.
5.
Thursday, May 22 ~ Mrs. Aber needs all seventh
grade National Junior Honor Society inductees to report to her classroom during
Channel One this morning.
6.
Thursday, May 22 ~ Attention, all eighth grade National Junior
Honor Society members! Both current and inductees – report to Mrs. Aber’s
classroom for no more than 5 - 10 minutes immediately following eighth grade
lunch today.
7. Thursday, May 22 ~ Attention, eighth grade girls! Plan to attend a meeting during studyhall today if you are interested in becoming a Tigerette. Please wait for an announcement to report to the meeting.

Thursday, May 22 ~ Don’t
forget about the Academic Dinner this evening from 6:00 till 7:30. Ask your parents to arrive early; all
guests should report to the gym.

Tuesday, May 27 ~ The NJHS Induction Ceremony will be held Tuesday evening, May 27, beginning
at 5:30p.m.

Friday, May 23 ~ Attention, eighth grade girls! If you are interested in joining the
high school Tigerettes, plan to attend a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, May 27th. Please, report to the high school
band room. You and a parent must attend this meeting. Practice will follow until 8:00. Practice will be held on Wednesday from 3:15 till 6:30. Tryouts will be held on Saturday, May
31.

July 12 ~ The Firelands Regional
Medical Center Is proud to sponsor this year’s Huron River Fest 5k, Saturday,
July 12th at 8:00 AM. This year’s
proceeds will go towards the Tanny Vonthron Scholarship Fund. There is a 5k race and a 1k Fun run. Walkers are welcome. Race forms are available in the office
or by asking your teacher. You can
also go to the Huron River Fest website:
huronriverfest.com for the form.

students who helped make last night’s Academic Dinner a big success. Your help is greatly appreciated.

All seventh
and eighth grade band students should take study hall materials to class today.
13. Eighth grade student council members should meet in Mrs. Rowen's room at 2:45 to decorate for the dance. You should be finished by 3:15.
