Huron High
School will not be
offering "all-school” physicals this spring for student athletes.
You need to make other arrangements for your sports physical.

Wednesdays and Fridays in May ~ Don’t forget to wear your favorite hat on
Wednesdays and flip-flops on Fridays in May. You must donate $1 or more each time
you participate. All proceeds will be donated
to the Tanny Vonthron Memorial Scholarship Fund at the end of the school year.

Monday, May 19 ~ Beginning
today, students may not charge lunches or extras in the cafeteria.

Monday, May 19 ~
Attention, seventh and eighth grade girls interested in learning to play
tennis! There will be a brief
meeting today after school in the auditorium.

This Week ~ Tickets for the End of the Year dance will be
sold Tuesday through Friday of this week during both lunches. Tickets
are $5. In order to purchase a ticket, you must turn in your green dance
permission form. See Mrs. Rowen if you need a new form.
6. Wednesday, May 21 ~ Attention, 8th grade girls! If you are interested in playing golf next fall, there will be a brief meeting in the auditorium on Wednesday, May 21 after school. Please plan to attend.
7. Wednesday, May 21 ~ Attention, seventh grade boys! There will be a meeting in the auditorium on Wednesday, May 21, for any seventh grade boy interested in playing eighth grade football next school year.

Thursday, May 22 ~ Don’t
forget about the Academic Dinner this Thursday evening from 6:00 till
7:30. Ask your parents to arrive
early; all guests should report to the gym.

Tuesday, May 27 ~ Due to the re-scheduling of the SBC Track Meet,
and the significant overlap of students participating, the NJHS Induction
Ceremony has been moved to Tuesday evening, May
27, using the same time frame, 5:30p.m.

interested in soccer! Please
stop by the office to sign up.

July 12 ~ The Firelands Regional
Medical Center Is proud to sponsor this year’s Huron River Fest 5k, Saturday,
July 12th at 8:00 AM. This year’s
proceeds will go towards the Tanny Vonthron Scholarship Fund. There is a 5k race and a 1k Fun
run. Walkers are welcome. Race forms are available in the office
or by asking your teacher. You can
also go to the Huron River Fest website:
huronriverfest.com for the form.
12. Congratulations to Sarah Blevins, Maddie Kilbury, and Sam Slutz who each participated recently at the Ohio Academy of Science State Science Fair. Sam and Maddie both received an excellent on their projects and Sarah received a superior rating. Sam's project was titled "A new way of propulsion", Maddie's was "Do storm drains keep the ocean clean" and Sarah's was "Testing the accuracy of eyewitness testimony". Congratulations to all of them for their fine efforts!
