Huron High
School will not be
offering "all-school” physicals this spring for student athletes.
You need to make other arrangements for your sports physical.
2.
Attention all
students! You may wear your
favorite hat to school every Wednesday in May and flip-flops every Friday in May. In order to do this, you must donate $1 or more each time
you participate. All proceeds will be donated
to the Tanny Vonthron Memorial Scholarship Fund at the end of the school
year. Show your support for this
worthwhile cause by participating in this activity sponsored by National Junior
Honor Society and Student Council. First period teachers will collect
money.
3.
The Firelands Regional Medical
Center Is proud to sponsor this year’s Huron River Fest 5k, Saturday, July 12th
at 8:00 AM. This year’s proceeds
will go towards the Tanny Vonthron Scholarship Fund. There is a 5k race and a 1k Fun run. Walkers are welcome. Race forms are available in the office
or by asking your teacher. You can
also go to the Huron River Fest website:
huronriverfest.com for the form.
4.
Attention any
8th grade male or female student who is interested in participating in cross-country
next year. There will be a brief meeting held in the auditorium on Thursday, May 15th during your studyhall period. Please plan on attending. Contact
coach Blevins at the high school if you have any questions.
5.
There will be
a boys’ soccer meeting on May 9th after school in the cafeteria.
6.
There will be
a meeting in the auditorium on Friday, May 23, for any 7th grade boy interested in playing
8th grade football next school year.
7.
All eighth graders should be
in their homerooms at this time for OAA testing. Seventh graders will follow their regular class schedule.
