1.         Don’t forget to wear your favorite hat on Wednesday and flip-flops on Friday. You must donate $1 or more each time you participate.  All proceeds will be donated to the Tanny Vonthron Memorial Scholarship Fund at the end of the school year.

2.         Students may not charge lunches or extras in the cafeteria for the remainder of the school year.

3.         Attention seventh grade…. GET READY FOR THE BATTLE!!!   The aggressive nerds, the green machines, the smithsonians, the light sombreros and the freight trains will battle it out this Friday!  May the best homeroom win!

4.         Wednesday, May 28 ~ Attention, eighth grade girls!  Plan to attend a meeting during studyhall today if you are interested in soccer.

5.         Tuesday, June 2 ~ A pole-vaulting mini-clinic will be held on June second.

6.         Attention, eighth grade boys interested in soccer!   Please stop by the office to sign up.

7.         Attention, seventh graders!  A golf clinic will be held in June for students interested in golf.  Stop by the office to pick up information.

8.         Attention, students interested in track!  A summer track clinic will be held in June.  Information is available in the office. Stop by if you are interested.

9.         Congratulations to the following incoming eighth grade student council members who will represent the class of 2019:  Hannah Brunow, Stephen Demos, Ronnie Eytchison, Alyssa Fuller, Hunter Garbe, Olivia Lagando, Meredith Mast, Casey Scroggins, Evelyn Sheppard, Corinne Steuk and Bridgette Winschel.

There will be a brief meeting of all current and new student council members at the beginning of eighth grade lunch.  The meeting will be in room 207 and should only last a few minutes.

Also, today during study hall, eighth grade students will hold student council elections for their freshman year.  Anyone who is running for a position and has not already turned in a speech to Mrs. Rowen, you need to turn that in during Channel 1.

10.    July 12 ~ The Firelands Regional Medical Center Is proud to sponsor this year’s Huron River Fest 5k, Saturday, July 12th at 8:00 AM.  This year’s proceeds will go towards the Tanny Vonthron Scholarship Fund.  There is a 5k race and a 1k Fun run.  Walkers are welcome.  Race forms are available in the office or by asking your teacher.  You can also go to the Huron River Fest website:  huronriverfest.com for the form.
