Space-based simulation

Is there anything that would prevent MIXR from being able to simulate a space-based environment?

I tabled an idea that would use MIXR to integrate a lunar landscape out-the-window with a NASA-developed flight dynamics model for a lunar lander that would simulate the descent and landing phases.
