Hey everyone,

Although spring has been here for almost three weeks, the warm weather is just starting to arrive. And with the warm weather comes club ultimate once again. I wanted to write you guys to tell you about our current plans for this season and ask your opinion about something.

Please welcome Becky Vasquez as captain this year! Grant and I will be returning as captain, but Becky will be a good attitude, smart play and the much needed return of female leadership to Mixed Nuts.

Practices will once more be on Ebersol fields on Wednesday nights from 7-9pm. We'll still have to pay for the lights, but the majority of people who responded to the January survey said they preferred weeknight practices, so that is what we have again.

We have the fields starting Wednesday, April 30th, but tryouts will begin the next week on May 7th. We're doing this because we felt that tryouts extended too long last year, so we're trying to shorten them this year. But because we have the extra week, we have the chance to play pickup for a week before tryouts start. If not enough people are interested, I will cancel our field reservation for that night because otherwise we'll be charged for the lights. Note that if we get enough people, it'll be the usual $5 per person to pay for the lights.

We're also recruiting for this year! If you know people who you think would be good for the team, please have them fill out our information form at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Z8bbiMQQPVjMfTRtTZSm5r_2EmwSo6Cj7WtEpqR9rHc/viewform. As returners, you don't need to fill out this form, but we need contact information for people who haven't been on our roster before. I've posted to RSD, but the best people come as referrals from people who have played on the team. I'm also going to be contacting some people individually to have them forward along recruiting e-mails to their schools.

Hey all,

The season is quickly approaching! If you took the winter off like I did, you should be getting in shape and playing some ultimate - pickup, BUDA, playing with your college team, etc.

I think we have enough people for pickup, so I'm saying that pickup is ON for Wednesday, April 30th. At this point, we have 11 people who have said yes, so feel free to invite some friends out to pickup to fill out our numbers a bit.
