Is there a source for newly formed companies from the Companies
register?

OpenCorporates currently provides the easiest access to the Companies'
Office records. There is quite a long licence agreement if you want to
extract the data yourself. Part of the agreement is a provision that
forbits you from discussing what their API actually provides.
