Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science, over its tenure of existence have been contributing to the society by delivering quality education, and even going beyond education. Our Beloved and respected correspondent sir not only interested in the development of our college but also concentrates for the development of our town and surrounding places . Sir has taken many social services like tree plantation, Blood donation, Medical camps,NSS etc.
MITS is an institute which has famed always to take the road less travelled. While giving pure academics the due importance, it deserves ,MITS has always endeavoured to provide its inmates as well as the society with little extra something which makes the institute so special and unique.
29th morning at 10.30 am the people in and around Madanapalle witnessed a special event, Technology and Medicine had put hands together for the welfare of society. MITS had organized a two day free medical camp at Chowdeswary Kalyanamandapam, Madanapalle. Madanapalle Sub-Collector P.HariKiran was the chief guest for the function. Doctors from Narayana Hrudayalaya ,Dr Manjunatha an eminent neurosurgeon , Dr Siddharta.S,Vante who is outstanding in his services in the field of cardiology, Dr Steny Simon ,cardiologist associated with Narayana Hrudayalaya Bengaluru had come forward to render their services.
The event started with the lightening of lamp followed by an introduction speech by D.Athar Sameena Khan, Student's Welfare Officer,MITS. The dignitaries were invited to the stage by Dr.V.R.Sitara, Training Officer, MITS. The chief guest, P.HariKiran, IAS congratulated the management of MITS for organizing such social activities.After a brief speech by all the dignitaries, our Correspondent and Secretary, N.Vijay Bhaskar Chowdhary proposed the vote of thanks.
The Camp was carried on successfully in a grand manner by the support of technical and non-technical staff of MITS.
Narayana Hrudayalaya headquartered in the city of Bengaluru, India, is one of India's largest multi-specialty hospital chains. The Bangalore cardiac unit of Narayana Hrudayalaya is one of the world's largest pediatric hospitals. It is the brainchild of the renowned cardiac surgeon, Dr Devi shetty.Narayana Hrudayalaya also receives patients from outside India, and it has created a record of performing nearly 15,000 surgeries on patients from 25 foreign countries. It is also a renowned centre for telemedicine and it offers this service free of cost.
Despite helping so many poor patients, it is known for being so efficient, that it has a higher profit margin (7.7% after tax) than most American Private Hospitals (6.9%).
It has 5,000 beds (as of 2012) and it is building large hospitals across India totaling 30,000 beds, to enable it to gain large economies of scale and bargain down the cost of supplies to the hospitals. Narayana Hrudayalaya was started in the year 2000 by Dr. Devi Shetty under the aegis of the Asian Heart Foundation (AHF). The flagship hospitals of the group are located in the cities of Bengaluru and Kolkata. They are both multi-specialty hospitals which cater to a wide variety of illnesses and diseases.
