A meeting was conveyed with departmental R&D coordinators to discuss the following agenda on 24th June 2013 at 4.00 PM in Principal chamber:

1. Introduction of Team members to Dean R&D

3. Any other matters with the permission of the chair.

RESOLUTIONS:
1. Prof. Dr. K. Sreenivasa Reddy, Principal of this college has introduced newly joined Dean, R&D to the R&D coordinators of all departments and welcomed all the members to the first meeting with Dean. Mr. B. Sreekanth, AO (A&P) has narrated the importance of this meeting to all members of the R&D team, MITS, Madanapalle. Dr. B. Venkata Raman, Dean, R&D has also introduced himself to all members and informed the need of R&D teams to encourage further development of the R&D in the college.
2. After taking the permission from chair, Dean, R&D enlightened the importance of Scientific and Industrial Research organization (SIRO) certificate issuing by DSIR (Dept. of Science and Industrial Research) of DST, Govt. of India and requested to FURNISH the information as per the format provided by the DST submitted to all departments. He also informed to keep more emphasis on R&D of each and every department/ individual while filling up the application. Principal has informed to Dean, R&D to provide a soft copy of the format to all coordinators so that documentation become easy.
3. With the permission of Chair, Dean, R&D has informed to all coordinators to encourage all faculty members those who are below the age of 35 years (40 years in case of reserved categories) to come up with proposals to submit to the same under “FAST TRACK SCHEME” of DST, Govt. of India. He also requested the CHAIR to constitute a ‘women forum’ to take up different issues and opportunities of women faculties in the college providing by Govt. of India. Dean, requested all Lady R&D coordinators to inform and encourage all lady faculties to come up with different project proposals to submit the same under “Women Scientist-A category” of DST.
4. Principal has informed to dean R&D to give an oral presentation regarding the availability of different funding agencies; availability of funds and eligibility criteria for faculties with details after completion of different programs scheduled in the coming four days. Meeting was ended with thanks to all members.
