Review meeting was called for by the Principal with the staaff coordinators to review the conduct of National Conference on ‘Innovations in Mechanical Engineering’ NCIME’13 by Department of Mechanical Engineering.
The principal congratulated all the staff members on the grand success of the event. However the following points were discussed for the further improvement in organizing the forth coming events.
1) The decoration was good and it started from the front gate of college to the seminar hall. Some innovations in decoration like danglers, welcome (with thermo Cole), message boards with stands, flower cones with college garden flowers and at the time of registration chocolates were provided to the participants which was praised by the participants.
2) Prayer song singers have to practice more, which can be avoided by staring and encouraging music club in the campus.
3) Anchoring by Ms. Sindhu, M.Tech (machine design) was appreciated by Principal and announced a reward of Rs.2000/-.
4) Providing accommodation for women participants is a common issue and which has to be resolved. So that we can increase number of participants. In spite of that 9 women participants have participated.
5) There was some problem with LCD projector, which might have avoided prior testing.
6) Finger bowls was arranged first time but all are of different type, which can be avoided by providing a permanent dining hall for conference, seminars and by providing full set of requirements.
7) Common infrastructure facilities of seminar halls has to be improved, which will get resolved with new seminar halls.
8) Papers have come from various demographics like different states (Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Maharastra, Punjab, Pondicherry Orissa & Andhrapradesh) and different prestigious institutions (NIT-Suratkal, NIT-Trichy, NIT-Rurkela, Lovely professional University, SRM university, Anna university, College of Engineering-Pune, CBIT-Hyderabad, SV University, Pondycherry University, Govt. Engineering college-Karnataka). Which is highly appreciated by Principal which shows that our college is recognized PAN Inida.
9) First time people from Industries like Amara Raja, Toyota, Nagarjuna Constructions, Bengaluru Air Craft Industries, Railway Coach Factory, Marine GIS Eingineers IIC technologies, Hyderabad, have presented & Published.
10) An interactive session was organized after the event with Dr. U. Chandra Sekhar, Chief Guest with all interested faculty regarding Research funding and proposal writing.
11) Infrastructure facilities like audio, permanent LCD projector and seating arrangement need to be improved.
12) A software is developed by Mr. Manu Ravuri by using PHP for registration slip generation and to build database which can be used for future events. It is appreciated by the Principal and rewarded Rs.1000/-.
13) All the stationary, Certificates, proceeding book, note pad and others has designed differently and which has come in excellent way.
14) The seminar hall was full at the time of inaugural which was not happened with other conferences / workshops and pin drop silence was maintained during the programme.
15) No in-disciplinary activity is reported.
On the whole the event was conducted on a grand scale.
