Twitter isn't running Mitro. The servers are hosted in the US and
somewhere in Europe (Ireland, I think?). There is no business model
currently and it's just being paid for out of residual funds. The code
is now open source and we hope to eventually transition the running of
the service to a group of volunteers or a foundation.
