Rahul Gandhi could be on the right side of history if he tears up the RTI (Amendment) Bill.

Dear Sachin -

They have failed us.

Last year the Government tried to amend the Right To Information (RTI) Act to exclude political parties. Together the people of India challenged them.

Bowing to pressure from the people of India, our Government sent the Bill to a Parliamentary Standing Committee for further public consultation.

However, the Standing Committee failed us. They have recommended political parties should be excluded from the RTI Act.

Sachin, we can still save the RTI Act if we get prominent politicians to take a stand against the amendment.

That’s why I started this petition asking Rahul Gandhi to promise the nation that the RTI Act won’t be amended.

He has previously acknowledged, several times, how powerful RTI is in the fight against corruption. Let's ask Rahul Gandhi to be on the right side of history and tear up the RTI (Amendment) Bill.

More than 18,000 people have signed my petition. We need many more people joining us to show him that a significantly large section of people are expecting him to take this action.

Please sign my petition and forward this mail to your friends urging them join the campaign.
