Looking for a candidate for “Lead Java Developer - e-Commerce

Location: Boca Raton, FL

 Candidate should have valid working US Visa 

Job Description: Strong e-Commerce and Software Product Development Experience, overall 7-10 years’ experience in application development, JEE, SOA / Web Services

Desired Skills:

 

  • Seven or more years of e-Commerce and/or software product development experience. Demonstrated in-depth experience with e-Commerce and web application technologies, especially in the areas of writing high performance, reliable and maintainable code.
  • Five or more years of experience with Java, JEE, Object-oriented design principles, EJB, JSP, Struts, AJAX, and HTML
  • Must have experience in object-oriented analysis, design and programming, tier components, (JDBC, Servlets, JMS, JNDI etc), Java/JEE design patterns, and/OR Web Services using JAX-RPC/JAX-RS
  • Experience with Websphere Application Server/WebLogic
  • Experience working with SOA / Web Services is a plus
  • Working knowledge/hands on experience with JSON, javascript APIs i.e. JQuery, DOJO, YUI along with experience with implementing AJAX based solutions.
  • In depth understanding and experience working with Struts or Spring MVC
  • In –memory and external caching frameworks like (ehcache, memcache, JCS)
  • Experience working with implementing third party e-commerce services including but not limited to: Payment Methods (Paypal, Google Wallet), Product Reviews, e-commerce analytics (Coremetrics, Google Analytics), SEO/SEM, on-site search solutions (Endeca, Lucene, Google)
  • Must have experience with internationalization and localization.
  • Deep understanding of service oriented software architecture and design issues.
  • Testing through presentation tier with JUnit or other testing frameworks.
  • Experience working in fast paced, challenging and agile environments preferably SCRUM
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Masters degree is a PLUS.

 

The ideal candidate will be expected to:

 

  • Collaborate with a team of developers and business analysts to ensure quality and timely project completion. 
  • Coordinate on projects with onshore and offshore developers.
  • Understand and capture business/technical requirements and translate them into functional and design elements. Create high level technical design documents
  • Maintain and Enhance e-commerce sites as per requirements
  • Self-starter with excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Help research and recommend new tools and technology frameworks that can drive innovation and differentiation of our web sites.
