Late in the morning, Thariania, Annadin and Darc return to the group. Grim swings by for an afternoon check in and also comes back into town later in the evening -- so feel free to have any flex time discussions.

I'll start the trial soon, it'll be an afternoon affair.

Although the walk into town has done him some good, Annadin looks like he fared much worse from the cold night than either Thariania or Darc.  He seeks Ekie's company and the warmth of the hearth.  He will catch up on some sleep by taking a nap for a couple hours before the trial.

Thariania skips into town in her elf child appearance. She joins the others, "Trial huh? Sounds boring, we should just steal Caela's socks. That'll show her"

When the group is some what gathered, Grim will speak.

"I have consulted the bones, they were fairly clear. Violet and we are not in any danger and won't be for at least a few days, so no imediate threat on the horizon."

"We should not spend time going to Darc's people in person to warn them, a messenger will do just as good. A message should be sent, it might do some good, but what that message should be is unclear. If we warn them and they prepare defenses, more people might die and the result might be the same in the end. A message that they should take to the hills and hide, might be better, but as I said the second answer is unclear. I could try to find out more, but we have many other questions too. I suggest Darc send a messenger and tell them as much as possible about the threat and hopefully they know what to do. Fore warned is fore armed."

"Furthermore we should not take Violet home, that means that her fate is already sealed, the cure are up here in the north or somewhere else, I will ask more about where to go later, or she will recover without the help from her hand weaving friends."

"Either way, it seems like we have time for a little breather. I intend to use it wisely in company with the bones conversing with One Eye. I will be back in the morning. If you think of any specific questions, join me and we can talk about it on the way back to my den."

Grim stands up and makes ready to leave.

Vesser: "I don't like having Violet sitting here, weak and a target. Especially if we find we have to go somewhere."

"Perhaps she should 'leave'. Would it be possible to hide her in a safe house, then very publicly create an illusion, or image, or whatever, of Violet passing through a gate and disappearing? Or if that can't be done, can one of the wizards suggest something that would have a similar effect? Do people think our opponents would fall for it, and give up any plan to attack her?"

"Thariania, could you give yourself Violet's appearance? Maybe give the impression she's recovered? Would that be useful?"

Grim answers Ivy, "I have not yet had the time to ask about their god or gods. I would like the names of a few likely gods though, say three or seven. I seldom get a name from the bones, more of a nod or a shake of the head, sort of an answer. What I can do, is group the possible answers and then divide and refine the possible answers. And I usually add the last option of 'something else', just in case."

After Vesser's remarks, Grim adds, "Better not do anything rash the next few days, we are safe and so is Violet. Pretending that she is better, might change that. If the man in black wants her disabled he might attack again if he think she is back on her feet."

Thariania shrugs, "I suppose I can pretend to be Violet, but not sure what good it would do. The deception would fail as soon as someone asked me a complex magical question or the first time we ended up in a fight and I started shooting arrows. That wouldn't be very good pretending on my part."

"What makes you think there is a safer house than the one she is in? Or that moving her somewhere and pretending to be her leaving will make her trail colder for those following us?"

Annadin comments to the group on his slate:

"The mirrors they use to track us won't show Decoy Violet"

Annadin continues:

"If they ask a mirror to show Violet, it will show real Violet"

Ivy Thinks for a bit and says to Grim,"...I have no clue , as to which god, or gods  these folks  might  wordhip. We could narrow  it done if we had some Tomes about? We  would focus  on the Darker  gods, Perhaps those  that crave and reward power...somehtin that some one who rides big lizards would  look up to?"

Thariania the elf child listens intently to the older elf, "So the plan is to comb through the certainly numerous Wodinfolk scholarly works on gods of Cidri and Alandoria specifically, then Grim will ask Wodin one at a time about each to see if it's the right god?"

Thariania shrugs, "Sounds like a great plan, good luck Grim. I know my experience in this area supposedly doesn't rival Ivy's, but if I might suggest a starting question like: With the information available to me at present, will I be able to divine the gods of our enemy?"

"It'll probably be a no, though if yes, you might follow up with: Would this information be important enough and unique enough to divine knowledge that it is worth my time asking this series of ten thousand questions to get the answer?"

Thariania looks about, "For myself, I'm content to know we should continue our quest here in Wodinland while Violet is apparently safe from danger according to Grim. When she wakes up, I think her superior knowledge and now first hand experience with our enemy will provide us more promising directions for searching."

Sirius doesn't seem at all agreeable to the idea of staying in the null magic zone.  He has been hogging the bracelet and fiddling with his ring a lot.  Occasionally he reminds people how easily Violet was killed.  He also mumbles something about how the gap in leadership is showing again.

Good Fortune,
Richard / Sirius

If the Elf  heard Thar, you could not tell,"...Aye, Grim?  This is your area  of focus, and your lands, I am sure you can figure  out a way to pare  down down what we need, in ways of an answer. Minors gods  can be pushed to the way side, And these are your lands, you may be able to feed of your god's  answers  more readily ..."

Grim answers Ivy, "I will get around to the gods part soon enough, give me a day or three. But if you have some suspects, feel free to contribute guesses and I can narrow it down. Perhaps by pantheon, gender and such and then we can focus on specific groups or pairs."

Grims says, "I was hoping that you might already have a few guesses. If you have no idea, maybe it's not wirth spending time on that line of questioning. And even if we do find out the name, will we know what to do with that informatio? It might be better to try to figure out their plans or weaknesses. Or ask if this line of questioning will lead to anything useful for our cause. And even with ten thousand potential names, I could probably find the right answer in less than three days if they were written down and grouped properly," Grim adds after counting on his fingers for awhile.
