Ivar listens to Sirius and says to his warrior, "Keep a double guard on them, and keep that one gagged and bound." He indicates Caela.
"It's better to bring them back, can't have slaves assaulting Wodinfolk and no public justice be seen.

"Your majesty. As Ivy says, the gagged witch must not be trusted. She will pierce your heart, and all who hear her, with her lies. She only lives because some believe it important for her to deliver a message she has for you from our enemies. Her message should not be heard except by those wise enough to listen through lies."Good Fortune,Richard / Sirius
Ivy: The elf speaks up,"...Forgive me , but you must be extra careful witht he one who is bound and gagged. She has a way of Not dying and returning to cause more problems...She Either works with the dragonriders, or is subject to them."

Subject: [Mithras][Q2:TheCult] Back in the Town
When the party returns to Ebersfjord (less Annadin and Thariania), there is a lot of activity going on.Just outside the main perimeter of the town, a ship's crew or so worth of warriors are still on patrol, making sure the frost giants don't return. Although Grim gets some angry looks, they let the party pass without any issues as Ragnar, Hogni and Runa are with them.In the town, the men are carrying bodies of the slain back to the hall where their families both weep and also try to celebrate their likely trip to Valhalla. Some of Ivar's slaves bring them Mead to help.Around the town, women with healing abilities are seeing to the wounded as are warriors and slaves with first aid or physicker talents. There are the remains of probably dozens of frost giants, although since they are all chopped into small pieces it's hard to get a good count. Slaves are carrying frost giant body parts to a large bonfire that was started to insure they never manage to heal.Closer to the hall, Ivar is walking by, sees the group and walks by, "Glorious battle" He says as he approaches. He looks to Runa and Hogni, "I heard what happened while I was gone, I'm sorry, Hogni that such a threat against your family happened in my town. I'm glad to see Runa is here and seemingly healthy." Ivar looks to Caela and the other slaves, "Are these slaves the criminals who took your daughter?"Hogni answers without looking to the slaves, "Aye, lord. They are and Runa will take an oath and speak to their crimes. There was one other that Runa herself killed in revenge, I wish the rest to face death as well."Ivar nodded at Hogni's account, "I'll hold a court tomorrow then. You and your family may stay in the hall tonight, it will be good rest for Runa, I'll have my slaves attend you."Walking to Ragnar, Ivar adds, "You've done well, Ragnar Dragonslayer, we cannot have crime in our land anymore than we can have frost giants in our town. We've not had a kidnapping in our town since before the history I know, had we not recovered Runa it would have been a disgrace on our family."Ivar called a group of warriors over, "Take these prisoners to the hall and keep them under guard." To the party he says, "You seem to be short a few people, hopefully they died gloriously in battle. Is there anything we need to attend to this night, or can your affairs wait until morning?"--

Ivar listens to all of Ragnar's report of the events of the evening, nodding periodically as a group of warriors haul the prisoners away and take them into the hall where they'll be guarded.
"Well, put enough men on guard duty, it'll be hard for a wizard to make them all sleep at least."
Hearing the details about Violet he winces, "A guest injured on my lands, I'll have to hunt down this man and get revenge. As for your friends in the woods, that doesn't seem safe, but I suppose women do what they want when it comes to magic."

Sirius replies to Ragnar. "This is Caela we're talking about. Do you remember the last time we encountered her? Back then she was intent upon causing mischief with her lies. She has not changed, even if she has fallen from grace. She will deliver a message to Ivar, and it will not be easily un-heard. She is a wild-card in a game where we need your father's help. We should have killed her. After she speaks, it will be harder for us to keep your people from doing what the riders want them to do."
Regarding the 'nidhogg rider message', Sirius is confused by this. His eyes light up after some thought. "Oh, you must mean the message warning of the rider's return that was given to the party who traveled to Coran Torvir through Mithras. As you recall, I traveled by gate to the tower. Your company was brought to the tower by the Baron Souleymane Aksum.

Ragnar turns to Ivar, "Papa, I'm thinkin' - I know it's important to have the execution be public - but for that, you could gag Caela an' just announce what she's been found guilty of. But what about the trial? Do the slaves witness that, too, or just your warriors? 'Cause it might be smart to exclude the slaves from hearin' her lies."
Ivar looks unconcerned, "Some slaves will likely hear her speaking at her trial. but I don't fear words. She can say all the flowery lies she wants, and when she hangs for it people will know how much those words mean and what their result is"
"I'm far more concerned that she might escape as you've warned. Escape is an action, and living to defy us makes us look weak. It's actions I fear, not words."
" I think it would be a good idea to have lookouts posted to watch the skies and the forest for giants and dragons...I will Volunteer to keep watch while the trial goes on....I still think The Dragonriders will strike, with this as their stage.."
