There is about a 30 minute gap between the going warrior and Cynewulf talking, so plenty of time. Just making sure the rest of you have someone to chat with.
The warrior stops his searching and looks to Ivy who spoke first, "What matters is a matter of opinion, and sheep people running around with weapons matters to me."
"What is it you want in our lands?"

"Dragons?" The warrior asks with a smirk, "They've not been here in centuries, too scared of us."
"Biggest creature I've seen here recently was down at the beach last spring. I stood there, looking to the sea, picturing all the towns I was going to sack, all the warriors I would slay and all the women I'd bed. When suddenly from the sea came a hydra, big as a ship with a dozen heads. I jumped on the creature and ripped a head off with my bare hands, but two grew back!"
"I drew my sword then since the creature did not fight fair. Fought it for 4 days, before finally I took off its last head. It was exhausting, so when I got home, I only had the stamina to bed my wife for a few hours, but that was enough, and now I have a son and a story."
The warrior takes a big drink of mead. Then looked back to the group, "So what tale do you bring?"

| "Watch who you're calling a sheep, mammal and what kind of warrior would leave their weapons behind? There's a word for.dumb warriors. Corpse." He tore off another large of meat and wolfed it down. Darc/Beenda Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android

| Darc sneered. "You insult my friends you insult me. What did you call Dame Kira? Oh yeah, elf-slut. I make no ties with one that rapes and tortures. They are scum that deserve no respect and they show no respect for the dead. It is dishonorable to disturb them." His lip curled in disgust at the mention of his claws. "You might change your.mind.about that and the feeling isn't mutual." Darc scowled at the pointing finger. He would love to bite it off, but he supposed that wasn't very diplomatic. Damn it. "My son is Hrothgar...Who said I'm looking for a fight? I'm making pleasant conversation. It's important to understand your enemies and potential enemies." The young warrior said with a smile.
"With that said, I'll fight with you anytime you want. I make it a rule never to pass up an opportunity to draw a weapon."
--GM / Thomas
"The Allfather himself, you say? And you slew an apep? I like your boasting spirit. And saving a Wodinfrau is a worthy cause."
He looks at Annadin as if sizing him up a bit more, "And what reward do you suppose it is you are getting here? You've performed no service for Earl Cynewulf that I've heard tale of... Or do you have more stories to share?"

Figol decides to divert the conversation from Annadin, "Asgeirr Sveinson, how far have you sailed, and who was your most worthy opponent?"
Figol
He shrugs, "The gods reward who they will. It'll take more than your stories before I believe the one eyed god has sent you though."
--GM / Thomas
Asgeirr turns his attention to Figol, looking him over quickly, "When I travelled to the far south, we came across a Naval warship of the Kingdom of the Magii. Had a crew of a hundred, and my small boat of only 20 decided to board them. Their captain was a worthy foe, he wounded me before I spilled his guts on the deck. We were fortunate to only lose a few men, else it would have been hard to sail home with all our plunder."
"What opponents have you faced? That were worthy?"
--GM / Thomas
The warrior listened to Darc, "I definitely like you. I think I like your people. Maybe we can fight a battle someday."
"You call it malice, I call it testing." When Annadin leaves he smiles and looks to Darc, "I think I like him too."
He flags a slave, "Bring the dragon man more meat." The slave rushes to obey. Darc finds himself with a large leg of pig on his platter.
> proving the wise one sent you here?
Vesser: "It's not an easy thing to prove. What proof would you accept?"
"Would it be enough if Wodin appeared, walked up to you and had his ravens peck out the message on your forehead? Or would you then complain that you were the only one who couldn't see it?"
"We do have an object given to us by Wodin but I suppose that could have come from anywhere as well."

Figol responds, "My training was focused on protecting settlements against attacks from our 'friends' from Mithras. I'm curious, do you ever raid inland, where the dwarves are? They can be formidable in battle..."
"I'm also very curious to hear more of your battle with the Magii. I have not heard that they are great sailors. Did you happen to obtain any of their Kits after the battle? We may know someone who is interested in one and would compensate anyone who would have one appropriately."
Figol
"I question you, elf, not Wodin. I question Wodin often, I do it by consulting a witch."
"You can have all the friends you want tell me of your deeds. I'll believe them when Ragnar tells me, until then I won't."
--GM / Thomas
He looks back to Figol, "I fight Dwarves if it suits me. We only go so far inland though. Poor tactics for a small unit to abandon your only supply line and path back to your home with the spoils. Earl Ivar raided into the great bay once, that was creative of him. Deep into Mithras but still near his ships. Perhaps I'll do that some day. Reasonably good money to be made off dwarf hostages if you get anyone important."
| Darc watches Annadin leave with a frown then back at him. "He is a brave man." He has no protest to being served more meat. It's been awhile since he'd gotten to eat so much meat in one meal and he liked it. He tore off a chunk and bit into it. Delicious! He could learn to like this. Darc/Brenda |
|
| Darc dipped his head. "I like you too, perhaps some day we will." Not ikely since his people didn't allow any outsiders into their territory as a rule. Not to mention the slave thing, but maybe something could be agreed on. These guys would be great allies. Darc/Brenda |

Figol quietly responds, "I got a very good, close up look at our 'friend', and could cast a very good illusion of him. However the dragon is a bit large for me to create. I guess I could make a miniature one, but can either of you do a larger illusion?" Figol asks, turning to Ekie and Sirius.

Before he's called upon to talk as he knows he will be, Ragnar makes his way down to where Sirius, Figol and Ekie are sitting and leans in next to them. He speaks relatively quietly (for Ragnar), but he still needs to be able to hear himself:"I dunno if you all will think this is a good idea or a bad one. But I was thinkin' I might - after gettin' the earl's permission, of course - ask one of you to rustle up a fake Nidhoggkisser or two, not for fightin' at all, but for showin' what the real ones look like. Especially a copy of that crowned Nidhoggrider - he looks worthy of a fight and, since we've seen him up here in Wodinland, I think that'll bug our hosts mightily that this Nidhoggkissin' king just waltzes into Wodinland and has his pawns grab a Wodinfrau to sacrifice. But there was also that Nidhoggkisser in Black we met outside Custiwald after slayin' the big red Nidhoggling - not the woman so much, but the big man - remember we charged him and I slipped 'cause he's a tricksy handwaver now - well, the man looked and sounded a lot like a turncoat Wodinson - and seein' such a traitor to the Allfather may be another way to get our hosts geared up."
