Digital Vision World is a designer and manufacturer of hardware and software products for the Film, Television and Archive industries.
Established in Sweden in 1988, the company today is based in London, England, with regional offices in Sweden and the USA.
While our technological focus has always been on the preservation and restoration of film archives, we take great pride in the fact that the image processing advances we have made, with feedback from our archival customers, has led to the use of Digital Vision technology in diverse applications, including Telecommunications infrastructure and CGI.
Today, we continue to push the boundaries for the archive world with a High Dynamic Range end-to-end solution, from scanning through to restored and graded digital master, to ensure that our customers get the maximum quality from their films and are able to showcase archival footage in all its glory!
It is a vision with ambitious goals to make the world a better place by 2030. A more peaceful world with less poverty and greater freedoms. A world in which all people have the right to freely seek information and express their ideas.
This is the vision of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals with specific targets to realize this global vision.
The digital revolution will play a decisive role in influencing the future of humanity. By 2030, three out of four people will have access to digital information and communication technologies. But what will this digital world of the future look like? Who will have access to these technologies? Who will determine the rules of the Internet?
The ideal future could look like this: People live in a highly interconnected world where the Internet is governed by democratic norms and information is available to everyone; the rules of the Internet are transparent and Internet users play a role in shaping these rules; people are able to express themselves in the digital realm freely and without fear; and privacy is respected.
Of course, the digital world of the future may instead look bleak: While some people enjoy special privileges, others are excluded, muzzled or manipulated; the Internet is fragmented into separate national networks; authorities monitor information and communication technologies and corporations collect, store and utilize people's digital activities for commercial purposes; only the members of a privileged elite can take advantage of the opportunities offered by digital technologies.
This scenario would have disastrous consequences for freedom of expression and access to information around the world.
As Germany's leading international media development organization, DW Akademie is concentrating its efforts on supporting freedom of expression and information around the world. Because digital technologies increasingly form an integral part of people's lives, our work includes strengthening freedom of expression and enhancing active citizen participation in the digital realm. Only when people have access to information and are able to freely express their ideas can they shape their own lives and have a fair chance of development.
Inspired by the idea of an open and inclusive digital realm, we at DW Akademie have developed our own vision for the digital world. This vision will flow into a digital strategy which, when implemented, will integrate digital transformation into every part of our work. Our digital strategy is based on the German government's Digital Agenda as well as the development principles of Germany's Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), our primary donor. DW Akademie and our partners are embracing digital transformation and working to fulfill our digital vision.

Part 2. What we envisage: Advancing all human rights
DW Akademie puts people and people's fundamental human rights at the center of its activities, with particular emphasis on enabling marginalized groups and communities to claim and exercise their rights.
Part 3. What we do: Skillfully navigate digital transformation
DW Akademie strengthens human rights, fosters a vibrant public sphere and supports participation for all. According to its public service mandate, DW Akademie, together with its partners, supports the development of free and transparent media systems.
Part 4. How we work: joining forces with our partners
Just like our partner organizations, DW Akademie operates in a constantly changing environment, a characteristic of the digital age. Successfully navigating these changes is an integral part of our activities.
World Vision was founded in 1950 to provide humanitarian aid to children all around the world. Though it started small, the nonprofit has grown to include offices in 90+ countries and generates more than $2 billion in aid each year.
Though individual World Vision offices operate independently, they are all part of the broader international World Vision Partnership. The offices connect people and share resources throughout the organization. That includes images, videos, documents, and other assets, allowing smaller offices to access the creative developed by the larger ones.
The nonprofit wanted a way to connect the 90+ organizations that make up the international World Vision Partnership. In other words, they were looking for a central source of truth for the whole organization.
Since launch, Story Hub has continued to grow. Now, all 90+ offices are regularly pulling content from the DAM platform, and 12 offices worldwide have their own private digital asset management system connected to one central asset repository. Granular permissions help divide local assets from global assets that the whole organization can access.
That available content lets World Vision broaden their campaign reach. For example, World Vision USA launched a new invitation into Child Sponsorship called Chosen where a child is empowered to choose their sponsor rather than the other way around. The DAM platform allowed World Vision USA to embargo the Chosen content and then share it with international offices after launch. In fact, almost half of the Chosen sponsorships in the first half of 2021 were generated from outside the USA. In other words, international offices had a significant impact on the Chosen invitation performance without dipping into their more limited budgets.
Story Hub also helps World Vision International respond to sudden disasters. When Cyclone Idai caused flooding throughout Southeastern Africa, World Vision was able to quickly mount a response, generating images from offices operating near the disaster zone. Over 90% of their offices used content featured on Story Hub, and the organization was able to raise $11 million to help with relief efforts.
Every generation of technology creates new consumer behaviours and revenue models. And over the past decade, mobile connectivity has delivered huge economic and social impact across the world, fuelling global players such as Meta, TikTok, Uber and now OpenAPI. The world has changed in that time and as the acceleration of digital disruption continues to pick up pace, mobile operators have been unable to achieve the financial rewards that match their influence. The impact of which means mobile operators are at a new juncture of their evolution, moving from connectivity to selling comprehensive solutions fit for digital use. It requires a new outlook - to delayer business models, to work with partners and free up resource to advance future growth in AI, robotics and cloud based 5G services. A new industry vision is one of digital optimism, are you ready?

For 2015, I created a brand new board on Pinterest (click here and follow my pins!), exclusively for my vision of what I will attract into my life for the year. You can post everything from words that embody how you want to feel (like this powerful free printable), quotes, travel destinations, money, photos of events, people, things, etc. The more specific you are, the better.
Have fun with it! Start adding images that get you excited, thrilled, fired up. Images that make you feel whole, cozy, at home. Images that push your limits. As long as they are images of things that you (again, you, not somebody else) fully want. Another option is to create a digital collage using a program such as canva.com.
Since it is a digital board, not only do you always have it on Pinterest to refer back to, but your options are nearly endless. I like to take a screenshot of a section of my board and use it as the wallpaper on my iPhone. You can use it as the desktop background on your computer, print it out and frame it, stick it on a bulletin board. You could even get creative and print it out, cut it up and decoupage different sections of your board to use as coasters on your coffee table or at your desk!
