I had a similar problem. I was logged in as [my name], but the password wouldn't work in settings. I logged out of my account, and made a decision on how I whether I wanted to integrate the Facebook information with my contacts, and I was logged out. Then I logged back in and now everything is working again! Although I'm not looking forward to going back through all my contacts and making sure everything is coordinated correctly.
My Facebook is okay on my computer. It is on my iphone after I logged off and tried to log in again it says, "Enter Facebook password " " in settings. I know my Facebook password is correct but not for my iphone?
I had the same issue until I logged in with a different/"the primary" email address linked to my Facebook account. Apparently I have four email addresses associated with my Fb account. The one I tried using unsuccessfully was not my primary email, but worked fine elsewhere (app, browser).
Poor article saying the user is wrong when I am correct. I had the account for a long period of time with the same password. Changed the password recently. The app is telling me the password is incorrect. I tried installing through another account and still tells me its wrong. I try to set up a new account just for the app and still tells me the account password is incorrect.
Make absolutely certain that the email address specified for logging in to your Chromebook is exactly correct. Also make sure the device is connected to Wi-Fi. If not, and there was a password change, you might need to use the previous password to sign in, then correct the Wi-Fi setup to work.
What this article does not take into consideration is that sites sometimes WANT you to change your password periodically. So they make it look as if you are entering the incorrect password because, essentially, they think it is out of date. It has happened to me on many occasions. I really wish they would just be up front, like some are, and tell you that instead of making it look as if the error is yours.
The problem you are having with Facebook sounds like it might be a problem with the browser cache. I expect clearing the cache CTRL+SHIFT+DELete opens the clear browsing data dialog box on all popular browsers and you can clear your Cached Images Fies from there. You can also delete your browser history and cookies from there. In this case, you might also need to clear cookies.
Articles like this are painful. Not only are they incorrect, but increase frustration. For example, I cannot sign into my exchange account thru outlook. I know my password is correct.I can sign in the web with my password fine. Outlook, no. It says wrong password. So, terrible post, of no value, and steers people in the wrong direction. Very dangerous.
Whilst you assure me that I must be in the wrong about my password please explain the following set of facts:
My Google password is my master password of sorts as I use google password saving to store everything else.
I have a system where I reserve a password that I reset every 3 months for my 2 most secure logins, google being one of them.
I record the new password each time I reset it on a paper I keep in my wallet that is printed from a receipt printer so the password looks like part of a receipt.
I use the password at least once a day when I use it to see passwords stored in google password manager.
Google correctly reports it was last changed 3 months ago, which matches my records.
I have the box checked so that the password is shown as I enter it, and the apps are all secure (2 pixel phones, a 2xl and 6, chrome on a macbook, on a dell and on an MSI), the passowrd I am seeing is the one that was working this morning.
And yet I am getting wrong password every time, and now have to go through account recovery with the 6 hour delay despite having account recovery, 2fa and biometrics.
Hi, are you saying to get out of incognito mode completley and save the passwords that way? The way I do it is I go and hit the 3 lines up in the right corner of my screen and I click settings and I do it that way as I described in my post. but when I exit brave and log back in to brave using private mode the username and passwords are not saved for Youtube or facebook
I got it. If I go to settings and I went to clear browsing data and the on exit tab I had checked to remove passwords and other sign in data Well I had that checked. I unchecked it because leaving it checked was removing the passwords from being auto saved. So thanks again for your help!!
At first after attempting to send email through pc I then tried mobile it did not work. I then thought it was Facebook so I reset my Facebook password and tried plugging that in as password. That did not work so I began to guess many times until Oculus sent me a conformation email to verify it was me. Which means the app can send emails but the browser can't. So I thought maybe there was a way to reset through the mobile app(there wasn't).
Hi there, thanks for bringing this to the community. Being locked out of your account is never fun. Oculus emails have sometimes been known to be marked as Promotions/Sales even if it's a password reset email, so if you have a filter for Promotions/Sales check that folder and see if the email is there. If not, please try and open a support ticket using this link.
This is terrible support. I see this issue of "no password-reset email received" over and over. After a couple years it's still broken?
And no, it's not in the Spam folder. I've checked and gMail has an 'All Mail' folder to list everything.
@NoahCyrus12 Sorry you are having this issue, it can be very frustrating when things are not working as expected.
I'm not extremely familiar with this issue but can you confirm if you are trying to reset your Meta account password? If so, are you doing that from the Meta Accounts page?
If you are able to login here with your Facebook account, then maybe you can confirm the email address and reset the password there? I've seen some confusion about which email address is being used because you may have one on your Meta account and one on the Facebook account, so there may be no password to reset if no account exists with that email address. I've seen this happen with other apps too.
Hope this helps!

I'm facing the same issue here. My original account is (REDACT). I realized this problem when Meta did not send an email as I tried to purchase a game. That's when I noticed I couldn't remember my password, and I also had no way to retrieve the PIN or password since the email resend feature doesn't work. I created this account to post in the forum, as it's impossible to seek help without a recoverable Meta account. This also represents a flaw in logic.
Having trouble with a Facebook or Instagram account? The best place to go for help with those accounts is the Facebook Help Center or the Instagram Help Center. This community can't help with those accounts.
Don't worry - it's quick and painless! Just click below, and once you're logged in we'll bring you right back here and post your question. We'll remember what you've already typed in so you won't have to do it again.
If you get an automated email directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to sup...@spotify.com and one of the customer services agents will get back to you.
My suggestion would be for you to create a new account with a different email address from the one you use for Facebook. That will give you a Spotify username of your choice, so you won't have to rely on Facebook anymore.
Once you have this new account, and since you're already contacting customer support, you could tell them to help you migrate your Premium privileges (if you have them), library, playlists, friends, etc. to this new account. No more Facebook problems.
I can't even access the profile page. My email associated to the forums side of spotify is not my facebook account email. It is another email that I use. I just logged in to reply to this and it would not let me log in via my username and password, it would tell me that something went wrong and that I should try again. After trying multiple other times and other possible usernames, I hit the log in through facebook button and it logged me in so I could reply.
I used both the online form and their email address to contact them. I have been checking my spam folders and email on both my email accounts. (the one connected to facebook and the one connected to spotify).
I have not been able to log in anywhere with my facebook email and password on the spotify app, dekstop app or on the website. (besides right now when the button worked, however my account still doesn't work anywhere else besides this support site.) The desktop app will open up a webpage and process my facebook login and it will say it was successful. However, once I go back to the desktop app it says the username and password is incorrect..
