Receive notification in mit app inventor from arduino

Hi and good day,

I am still new with mit app inventor. So i would like to ask questions regarding notification in mit app inventor.
My project is about home automation. When a visitor press door bell/ push button, it will gives notification to the mit app inventor.
So it is possible to receive notification from arduino.
What i would want is...when i press push button on my breadboard it will give notification to mit app inventor.

does anyone have any suggestion to do this? and it is possible to do it with mit app inventor?

Hi Mira, you can send information Arduino <> Android by Bluetooth...

You can receive information from Arduino and put in a Notifier or Label, but not Service-Notification.

My project is arduino-----android via wifi.
I used esp 8266...so i was wondering if there a way for me to send notification to android via wifi.

by Firebase you can get a direct change, when something change in Arduino automatic change in app Android. http://kio4.com/firebase/1chat.htm

- Notification by Service doesn't work in AI2.

- Throw off ;) ESP8266-01 and buy NodeMCU with ESP8266-12E

Hi  Mira,

- Notification by Service works in backgroung, but AI2 not works background.

- Firebase is a database, when some date change in server, automatic change in client, dump explanation ;)
