Notification task / background Service extension

Hello everyone,

I like the easy way of creating Apps with the App Inventor, but I need the ability to keep my app alive. I want to check my web Api every ten minutes and display a notification if it returns 1...

Currently I use the testing version of the App Inventor with task option (services.appinventor.mit.edu), but I could not export the aia and reimport it to the original AI2... I prefer the original version...

Is there any way to use this feature with the original version? Maybe with an extension?

this is a very early version and there is still a lot to do, this will take several months

also I think, it still might be too early to use this version to do some tests and to give feedback
