Hi guys,

I built an App with AI2 for my tablet. Unfortunately, the Tablet-Screen is dead now. So i wanna get the Appdata, to save those on PC.
Does anyone know where I can find AI2-Appdata on an Android-device?
Data from other Apps are saved on the SD-Card, only my own written AI2 App isn't listed.
My App uses a TinyDB...

Hi Sven

TinyDB is saved in a private folder dedicated to the App. The casual User cannot access it. However, you may be able to get to it using a 3rd party file explorer.

The snag is, you are going to have to try to access the tablet with another device, given that the tablet screen is dead. So I suggest connecting your tablet to a Windows PC/Tablet and try Droid Explorer: http://de.bit13.com

I do not know if you will be able to dig-down to the TinyDB file, but it's worth a try.

Thanks for your reply Chris!

The problem is, Droid Explorer needs a rooted device. And the damaged Tablet is neither rooted nor in the debugging mode :/

with this extension you can download a TinyDB in a file in SdCard, edit that file, load that file in TinyDB,...

Hi Juan

Sven can't do anything like that because his screen is dead.

How dead is dead? I found there are a number of tips and tricks on YouTube to fix tablet screens - worth a try.

TinyDB is...

/data/data/appinventor.ai_youmail.youapplication/shared_prefs/TinyDB.xml

it is necessary to be root to get to the file.
