Date picker year value

I built an app to calculate the difference between 2 dates also historical dates, so before the year 1900. The problem that the datepicker year doesnt'go not before 1900 and sometimes not before 1980. 
How can I solve it? Thanks a lot for your replies.....

the unix time started on 1st January 1970, see also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unix_time
for earlier dates I think you have to create a datepicker manually, for example using 3 spinners, one for days, months and years...
