hi, im a total noob. how do i set up password for app.. (blocks)

i am creating an app that has the "password text box" in it..

I am trying to make it where you can't use the app whatsoever without first typing a password in.. (basically the app opens up but only becomes live once typing in the password)

where do i even begin? i have the app all nice and pretty in the designer, and yes i did the kitty cat tutorial... LOL

anyone have a block template for this or know where one is at?

I am full blown trying on this.. Thanks for any help you can provide.. please don't get to technical, i just need, attach this block to that block type info...

Ronnie...  The first thing you should do is the tutorials.  They'll give you a sound set of basics to start getting good use from AI2.  The tutorials are located here: http://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/ai2/tutorials.  Start there... the rest will seem self-explanatory after you've done a few...

Ronnie has written me directly several times. To ALL forum members... please do NOT do this with ANY moderator unless requested to do so.

Attached is your solution.  From here on, you need to work and create these things yourself... try things, and if they don't work, come back to the forum, ask a question and post screenshots of your code blocks.

Download the AIA, import it into AI2, and then play with it.

This has a hardcoded password.  Now, figure out how you're going to get and save the initial password (you can't hard code it in a real app.  I have saved the password to a user named First User.
