How to make .aia file into working app?

I have created a great little aia file (phone a friend) with pic. It's just one number but I would like it as an app on my phone so I can just click the pic rather than going through the phone app. Can this be done or do I have to convert it (somehow) into an APK file?

An AIA file is just a backup file of an App Inventor 2 project.
You have to import it into AI2, then build the app from your project, which will create an APK file you can use on your phone.
