Hello.
I have a few questions about the AppInventor PC emulator.
I also tried to install the AppInventor companion APK on a different Android emulator, which simulated a tablet screen, but it did not work: the code did not load.
  • I can not find a full list of the keyboard shortcuts online. Can anybody provide me with such a list?
    • Show/Hide keyboard and landscape mode
  • Is there any way to share storage files?
    • The "shared storage"-feature does also exist on Andy and BlueStacks.
    • This would also enable/allow me to install APKs into the emulator
  • How can I put a custom picture/video into the camera application?
    • The camera application ceases to work and actually crashes after a few seconds.
I hope, that my questions will not be considered as irrelevant, and appreciate any help and any brief explaination of mistakes, that I am doing accidentally.
Great thanks again.

probably there is no switch to change from portrait to landscape on the Google emulator (there is NO MIT emulator...MIT provides a copy of the basic Android Emulator).  You might have better luck using an emulator like GennyMotion ... http://twodogapps.com/?page_id=686

see the Sharing component

Put a video into the camera app?    AI has a Camera component...you can modify it all you want  if you know Java

MIT App Inventor Sources

To show videos use the VideoPlayer component   or   https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/mitappinventortest/play$20video%7Csort:date

-----------------------------------

You might benefit from AI so here are some resources to help you learn to use the AI2 tools  A very good way to learn App Inventor is to read the free Inventor's Manual here in the AI2 free online eBook   http://www.appinventor.org/book2 ... the links are at the bottom of the Web page.  The book 'teaches' users how to program with AI2 blocks.

There is a free programming course here http://www.appinventor.org/content/CourseInABox/Intro  and the aia files for the projects in the book are here:  http://www.appinventor.org/bookFiles

How to do a lot of basic things with App Inventor are described here:  http://www.appinventor.org/content/howDoYou/eventHandling  .
