When I connect the emulator to the app inventor, this is what happen in the picture.
I tried to uninstall the Ai2starter and reinstall for a few times, just the same.
Can you help?

It might not be the emulator or Companion's fault.
Maybe you have a tight loop at app startup.
Show us your Downloaded Blocks Image.

Sorry Edward, the image you posted was not a downloaded blocks image ABG requested.

Based on your previous image, that shows your emulator 'loaded' your Project on the emulator screen, I expect the issue is something wrong with your programming Blocks. It does appear that aiStarter is working.  Did you follow these emulator  Instructions  ?

Could you do this please? It will help establish whether your emulator is working as it is supposed to work.
1) Start a new Project.
2) The Project is very simple.  Just place a Button component on the Designer .
3) run this simple project in the emulator.

When you do that do you see a Button on the emulator screen?   If you do see the Button, your emulator is certainly working. That will confirm there are probably no emulator issues.

So why is your real Project is not working?  We do not know.  Please post your Blocks.  You might be loading large image or sound files or switching screens improperly or ????

You must provide more information about your project for someone to provide information that would help you get your Project working.

Regards,
Steve

Thank you Edward.

What browser are you using with your PC?   A guess is you might be using Microsoft Edge.  Edge does not work properly with App Inventor; try Chrome or Firefox and what happens?

Are you using Linux, a Microsoft Pc or a Mac to access the App Inventor Web app?   They should work fine however we do know that some versions of Chromebook have issues.

Are you using the App Inventor 2 Web page or are you using a third party blocks program to develop.  The screen image you just posted does not look like a typical App Inventor Block page.

Hi Steve, thanks for your reply.

I'm using chrome on Window10 PC, I attached 3 pics in order
so you can see what happen. After I pressed ok for update
then the Snap3 showed.

I wish you can find me the solution, thanks.

Regards

Edward

Sorry you are still having issues using the Emulator Edward.   I suspect something might be blocking your Internet connection

Are you using a home network or perhaps using a school network?  Some school networks block access to App Inventor (see the trouble shooting guide)Both  aiStarter and Companion can be blocked. This would prevent the emulator from updating.

Do you have an Android device you can use with Companion?  Connecting that way does not need the starter software.  If you don't have an Android, perhaps you can borrow one and test the connection that way.  If your connections are blocked using Companion and a device, it is possible either your Provider or a plug in on your Win10 with Chrome may be the problem.
Unfortunately, there are many reasons people can have issues with App Inventor's emulator

This is a link to a very detailed trouble shooting guide http://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/ai2/connect-help-emulator .    Read it carefully.  There are some checks to see if the aiStarter is working properly.

Let us know when you get it working but if you still cannot get the emulator to work, please tell us what you tried.  Someone might have other ideas.

- Steve
