Hello,

New to AI2.

Trying to create what I thought was a very simple mini-app project that dispays a single image and plays a single piece of music over it.

Problem: The mp3 music file is 11.6mb and the media upload function bombs out after a minute of uploading it with a file to large error!

What is the mp3 file size limit? Seems a strange limitation to me.

Not sure how I can make the music file much smaller than it is - as it's already mp3 compressed. However, if I knew what size I need to aim for to get past this rather surprising limitation then I will try and achieve it.

Any other way around this?

All suggestions very welcome.

Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to offer.

Onwards and upwards,

Gordon.

Thanks for your link Taifun.

All seems very complex and complicated to me when all I want to do is load and play one single mp3 song over a single background image.

Will just try again with a song size around 3mb.

Cheers!

Try an online audio file converter and convert from mp3 to ogg which is usually much smaller.
You also might try lowering the bitrate of the mp3 file to shrink it's size as well as long as the quality does not suffer too much.
