I have spent many time following the manual´s instructions (for WIFI, USB, all the recommendations) and doesn´t work.
Is there anyone been able to get connected the ai2 inventor with cell phone on WIFI. I have tried many options suggested none of them works.

I´m using W10 , Chrome, Sony Xperia...I already downloaded Companion, ai stater...everything

Is there anyone able to get connected ai inventor with a cell phone over wifi. If this doesn´t work, It doesn´t make sense to keep trying

You have already read the help here https://groups.google.com/forum/#!category-topic/mitappinventortest/htu7PAtX6RY

Are you able to run Companion in your Android xperia.  Once you have the Companion on the screen, use the PC  to  Connect>AI Companion.   When do you get the server 1103 error   .  It appears you are not getting a connection.  Why?   It might have to do with your router WIFI.

If your PC router does not have WIFI, you will have to use the emulator.  http://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/ai2/setup-emulator.html   Since you already downloaded aiStarter you should be able to use the emulator by following the instructions in the link.

If it does have WIFI and these videos might help
Yes, thousands of people use WIFI to connect to App Inventor every day. Sorry you are having issues.

Wifi is the way we typically connect to our phones to App Inventor at MIT. From the web browser on your phone, are you able to access http://rendezvous.appinventor.mit.edu/rendezvous/test? If so you should get a message back "Connection OK". If not, it might indicate connectivity problems with your phone or your Wifi.

I forwarded your message about your ISP and what they said to the MIT technical people.    We do ask Forum users to reply within the forum...it alows others who are knowlegebale contribute to the discussion.  By not posting to the Forum, you lose the expertise of a lot of experienced App Inventor people.

I expect your ISP is doing what it is doing erroneously.  MIT certainly wants to know about this. No other provider Worldwide is doing something like this.

 Thanks for doing your research.

Finally, after trying all the recommendations, I got my cellphone connected. The problem was my local ISP has the web page ai2.appinventor.mit.edu bloocked. I changed DNS parameters both in my pc and my cell phone (it is important to set both in manual mode) and type the google DNS codes: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
After doing that I finally got everything in place. It looks like well now. I can have on my cellphone screen the projects I do. My cellphone and pc are connected to the same WIFI and have full access to appinvertor after setting the google parameters (first : 8.8.8.8 and second 8.8.4.4.)
Thanks
Francisco

Wonderful Francisco.  Very glad all is well now.   Have fun with App Inventor.

Thank you for telling us about this unusual problem and for figuring out a solution.
