Error message : preparing application icon

I built the MashMole accoring to the instructions at 

http://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/ai2/molemash.html

and when I finished - then tried to build but got the following error message:

"preparing application icon"

and it happen either when building .apk so save on my computer or for providing QR code

The icon has to be a .png or .jpg file.... an .ico file won't work.
