Hello everyone, I'm looking for ways to spend my projects AppInventor classic (. Zip) to AppInventor 2 (. Aia)
I've only managed to import the screens but I have not managed to import the blocks.
Is there any way to make this possible?
I have several projects in AppInventor classic and I want to pass the new AppInventor because there are new blocks in this ...
I hope that we all get to make this possible or contact AppInventor to provide us a tool for conversion
regards guys!

There is no automated way. This is on todo list, but no ETA.

There is NO AI Classic to AI2 conversion tool except for your imagination and  re-coding the AI Classic app into AI2 manually.

At one time there was discussion that a tool to the conversion might be available sometime.  It now appears there either will be NO tool ever or the tool, if anyone makes it will not do a complete conversion.

If you have AI Classic projects that you want to run,  either re-code the projects now  or search for an AI2 equivalent project in the MIT AI2 tutorial section or find a similar AI2 projct  on the Internet.   Many AI Classic coders have posted AI2 versions of their tutorials (but not all).

Consider, support for AI Classic is supposed to disappear sometime this Fall.

Steve

I've only managed to import the screens
I recommend you to not do this! you will not be able to build your project later!

It's Spring 2015.
Is ready the tool converter? (app inventor classic to app inventor 2)
Thanks.

The AI Classic to AI2 converter tool is, unfortunately, not ready.  When it is ready, I expect there will be a major announcement.  When it is ready, it most probably will require manual intervention because it probably will not convert everything.

The convert tool is still being tested.. The developer providing the tool indicated to the Moderators on the 15th he expected to release the tool in a "few days".

There are still problems with the conversion tool on more complicated projects and he is trying to resolve those issues.     When the tool eventually appears, perhaps this weekend? (a guess), converting will not be slam dunk.   Larger projects will certainly require manual intervention.

MIT does not want to release a buggy tool.   I understand the tool converts many projects without issue now, so I expect the tool will be released to the AI2 community when it is ready    The best I can say..

Regards,
Steve.
